Rikimatsu Naito is from one of the last generations of traditional broom makers in Kyoto. He passed on the legacy onto a handful of apprentices, who are the last to learn how to make Shuro-Boki. Such brooms and brushes are increasingly difficult to find and are the list of endangered species in the world of Japanese crafts.
