Created out unexpected materials such as foam and plastic, a small cavity of rock is embellished with a splendor of crystals and flora.
Influenced by conventional methods of mass-production, Kia fabricated this Geode as fantasy of nature.
Exquisitely tactile and visually stimulating, this sculpture contains a sort of disassociated use of material with content. Kia's use of synthetic materials in a natural context displays the layers of irony that make up modern day domestic living.
