Dustin’s cups are gracefully minimal in appearance, and rich in content. Each piece is hand thrown from porcelain, with the exterior surface smoothed to a fine texture, onto which an image is placed. The print and surface treatment is Dustin’s signature technique, as is the narrative context of each piece.
As an artist, Dustin is "interested in the details of our built environments which we often overlook, but which are specifically designed in every detail and at some point, chosen by a builder or decorator."
