Angela is inspired by traditional crafts in which her work embodies illustrations of everyday objects as metaphors of self-identity, boundaries and protection.
Reminiscent of hair, threads of cream cotton are interwoven unto white paper. Soft modulations of white navigate the paper forming an image of a fence that is slowly deconstructing.
Territories 10 is a one of kind piece, hand stitched and embroidered by the hands of artist Angela Simione.
We are offering Territories 10 as a custom framed pieced. It is mounted on black mat board and encased in a gallery style, graphite stained box with dovetail joints and protected behind Plexiglas.
