Danish textile artist Anette Blaesbjerg Orom creates exquisitely detailed tapestries that feature a contemporary touch. Stitch by stitch, exquisite graphic patterns are embroidered from fibers such as raw silk, Indian cotton, wool, and flax.
Anette has been awarded numerous awards and noteworthy residencies throughout Denmark institutions and exhibits her work in museums and galleries throughout Copenhagen, Iceland, Scotland and Australia. She is also co-editor of the art-poetry publications Listening to the Skylark, Textile Art in Denmark 1988-98, Textile Art in Denmark 1960-87 and Souvenir.
